AEC Rewind

Albany after winning its second Albany Cup in three years.
Among the highlights of another busy weekend of America East hoops non-conference play were a pair of Albany Cup victories for the Great Danes men and women. The win for the men puts them at 6-2, the best start of the team's Division I history. In other news on the men's side, Binghamton freshman Jordan Reed continues to tear it up and now leads the conference in both scoring and rebounding. Reed is averaging a double-double on the year (17.5 ppg/10.3 rpg), something that just 23 others in the nation are doing. For the women, Boston U.'s victory of No. 17/15 St. John's marks the first victory for an America East squad over a ranked team since 2009. Adding to the success was Hartford, which beat Providence on Saturday as the America East went 2-0 versus Big East teams on the day. Scroll down for the scores from the weekend as well as some links to start your week off.
